The Neighborhood Partners Fund is designed to assist in improving livability through community matched funding for neighborhood improvement projects. The program grants up to $5,000, which must be matched by the neighborhood with cash, volunteer labor, donated supplies, equipment or professional services.

After the submission deadline, applications will be reviewed for basic requirements and eligibility. The applications will be further evaluated by the Neighborhood Partners Fund Board, before being presented to the City Council for final approval. Families living in homes built prior to 1978 are likely to be exposed to lead hazards. These hazards include: lead-based paint, lead contaminated dust and soil. Exposure to these hazards could cause lead poisoning. Long-term exposure to lead can cause serious health problems, particularly in young children.
The Las Vegas Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes Program, is partnership between the city of Las Vegas and University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The program is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes. The goal of the program is to create lead-safe and healthy housing in Las Vegas and reduce the incidence of childhood lead poisoning. The program is able to enroll single-family houses, apartments, condos, townhouses and manufactured homes.

The Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) is administered by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). We are funding three ESG categories: Rapid Re-Housing, Homelessness Prevention and Emergency/Wet Shelter. The Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) Program is designed to provide resources and incentives to devise long-term comprehensive strategies for meeting the housing needs of low income persons with AIDS and their families. Eligible persons and programs must reside within the Paradise Eligible Metropolitan Statistical Area, consisting of Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Boulder City, Henderson, Blue Diamond, Mesquite, Searchlight, Moapa, Overton, Bunkerville, Cal Nev Ari, Coyote Springs, Indian Springs, Jean, Laughlin, Logandale, Moapa, Sloan and unincorporated Clark County. The applicant must provide services and HIV/AIDS case management, and is responsible for submitting a proposal that complies with the criteria established for submission in the application.

The Commission for the Las Vegas Centennial is a group of appointed citizens who oversee the distribution of centennial grants to generate community projects that promote and preserve Las Vegas history. The mission of the Las Vegas Centennial Commission is to preserve and celebrate the history of the people and the city of Las Vegas.The group receives funding through the Centennial license plate, a special commemorative plate still available through the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles.The plate features the famous "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign designed by Betty Whitehead Willis in 1959, which still stands in the median island south of Tropicana Avenue on Las Vegas Boulevard.Since 2005 the commission has awarded more than $21 million in grants to projects like the Helldorado Parade and Rodeo, the restored, vintage neon signage that is in the medians on Las Vegas Boulevard downtown, the Historic Westside School and the Natural History Museum. Funding has also been given to artists developing historical films and documentaries, oral histories and the University of Nevada Las Vegas. The city of Las Vegas seeks qualified applicants that will provide primary healthcare, mental health services and substance abuse services for persons living in the immediate vicinity of the health care center(s); and the homeless population that frequent or live in the Corridor of Hope area. The Request for Qualifications invites organizations to apply for an assessment of their organizational structure, staffing, their organization’s ability to meet the scope of work and relevant experience related to the establishment and operation of a Health and Wellness Center that includes physical health services, mental health services and substance abuse components. The Health and Wellness Center should be open, operational and prepared to receive patients by July 1, 2020.
